The Mazda 2.5L KLDE/KLZE V6 - 24V - 166/ 200Hp
Why?
- Full aluminium engine.
- The block is made of two parts and stiffer than an iron block.
- forged steel crank
- VRIS - 2 Stage Air Induction length Variation
- 24 Valves
- 4x OHC with Reducer Gear
- non interference engine - if the timing belt snaps, nothing happens
- high revving short-stroke engine - great sound
Only downside are the Mitsubishi electronic parts Mazda used, like the Distributor with it's integrated ignition coil and module wich breaks after about 20 years due to heat. There is a way to convert it to an external coil/module which makes the KLDE quite indestructibile.
